In 2004, Antowanna Carpenter literally went from house to house, sitting at kitchen tables with passionate individuals who simply wanted to make a difference within their community. Antowanna helped them complete the complex IRS paperwork required for nonprofit approval.
What began in 2004 grew into Granting Hope, officially founded in 2009 as a full-service consulting firm dedicated to helping nonprofits not just launch, but thrive. Antowanna chose the name āGranting Hopeā because she believes that when individuals help others, they grant them hope for better lives and stronger communities.
Her passion and expertise have been showcased in scholarly publications, social media and on television, earning her recognition for her unique and inspiring approach to nonprofit development.
Antowanna holds an MBA and is a PhD Candidate focusing on nonprofit innovation and sustainability.Ā Her mission remains unwavering: to develop organizations that empower communities.
